Archives
Canadian Archival Research Center
Over the last few years the Canadian Archival
Research Center has created an archive reproduction
program concerning Canada in France.
Their offices are a part of the Canadian
Documentation Centre.
One can consult the research guides,
repertoires, catalogues and archived inventories on
Canada, as well as numerous reference works that
access useful archives both in Canada and in
France.
Many CD-ROMs, prepared by the National Archives
of Canada, present summaries of millions of
documents.
Taking into consideration reasonable
communication delays, the microfilms of documents
preserved in Canada can also be consulted at the
Centre.
Printouts
An encyclopedic base of works in English and/or
in French of about 10,000 titles is the core of our
printed documentation.
A collection of Canadian English and French
literature presents a panorama of contemporary
production.
Around 2,000 reference works of exclusively
Canadian content are also free to access: atlases,
bibliographies, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and
general and special repertoires.
A selection of product publications by the
Parliament and the Federal Government Minister are
up-dated daily. A few official provincial
government publications are also added.
Large selections of Statistics Canada
publications, that are unique to France, are
accessible.
A collection of 250 periodicals, spanning from various directories to scientific journals and general information magazines, are principally aimed towards human sciences. The complete version of many daily newspapers, such as Le Devoir and the Globe and Mail are available on microfilm.
Finally, the Documentation Centre carries
numerous documents on the most requisitioned
subjects.
